Black berry Glossary

RIM = Research In Motion, the BlackBerry manufacturer is a company headquartered in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. RIM was founded in 1984.
BB = BlackBerry, are trademarks of RIM
BBM = BlackBerry Messenger, is a chat application exclusive to BlackBerry
BM = Broadcast Message, is the message that is sent to more than one user is found in the contact list.
BNIB = Brand New In Box, is a condition where an item (not just BlackBerry) is still in new condition with a sealed packaging.
OTA = Over The Air, is the connection of two points (eg between the device and server) that are not directly connected fisiki. The term is also commonly used to wirelessly install software using the data connection on the BlackBerry.
PIN = Personal Identification Number, is a random number from RIM as the BlackBerry ID number.
DM = Desktop Manager, is software that can be installed on a computer that functions as a sort of PC Suite specifically for BlackBerry devices. DM used a BlackBerry to communicate with computers in synchronizing data. DM is also known as BDM (BlackBerry Desktop Manager) or BDS (BlackBerry Desktop Software).
BBSAK and BBMCP = BBSAK (BlackBerry Swiss Army Knife) and BBMCP (BlackBerry Master Control Program) is a program or application in addition to the Desktop Manager that can be used to backup apps, wipe / OS load, COD and other modifications.
OS = Operating System (OS) is a set of programs that manage the hardware resources (hardware), For BlackBerry smartphones, the BlackBerry OS used is the OS, the latest is version 7.1. While the BlackBerry PlayBook using the BlackBerry Tablet operating system QNX developed.

Push E-mail = is a technology to receive or send e-mail directly (real time) on BlackBerry phones, like receiving and sending SMS. In the Push e-mail, every e-mail will go through the process of compressing twice, so the file size is reduced to 50%.
CrackBerry = Derived from the word meaning crack cocaine and the BlackBerry. This term is used to describe users who can not escape from his BlackBerry (addiction).
BIS = BlackBerry Internet Service, is a provider of data services provided specifically for BlackBerry devices. Some BB functionality can only be used if the user is subscribed to BIS.
BES = BlackBerry Enterprise Server, is the name of the middleware software package that is part of the BlackBerry platform from RIM. BES connects multiple devices such as servers, desktops and mobile devices in an enterprise network for direct e-mail or synchronizing information.
PIN PIN Suspend = condition where the BlackBerry diblock or suspended for violating regulations. For example, the BlackBerry PIN is reported lost or stolen. Other cases such as the PIN BlackBerry owners with violating the contract with the operator concerned. This condition makes the BlackBerry is no longer able to use the BIS service.

Official OS = operating system for BlackBerry officially released by the operator.
Leaked OS = operating system BlackBerry is not official or on probation but later leaked and can be accessed by public users.
