GEOMETRIC TOLERANCE By Dian pramesti, S.Pd



Geometric tolerance is the diversity of shape maximun allowable or perfect geometry of position. The term "geometry" refers to the diverse forms such as cone, cylinder, square. Theoretically, this forms a perfect shape, however, because it is not possible to produce perfect forms, then we need to determine the allowable diversity. Geometric tolerances determine the width of the tolerance zone where surface or the axis of the cylinder or holes should be used if the machine elements to meet accuracy.
If the tolerance is not given in the form of working drawings, so we assume that, regardless of the diversity of form elements and adjust the machine will function satisfactorily

Form and position tolerances or where controlling the properties of the diversity of forms, such as flatness, straightness, parallelism, ketegak lurusan, konsentrisitas, sphericity, angular displacement and so forth.

  How to display the image geometric tolerances in working with Auto Cad drawings are:
1. Click on the tool bar dimension standards

2. click on tolerance
3. Will exit the command box tool bar
4. Fill the geometric tolerance and tolerance

6. Then in Auto Cad work screen will display a box that contains a geometric tolerance symbol along with the selected value.
